Sandy Corday Honored for Service to the Ridgefield Library at Arts Council Event

On May 9th, Sandy Corday was honored with the Behind the Scenes Award from the Ridgefield Arts Council by First Selectman Rudy Marconi for her 24 years of dedicated service as volunteer coordinator of the Talking Books recording studio located at the Ridgefield Library. The studio is part of the CT Volunteer Services for the Blind and Handicapped, Inc. (CVSBH) that works with the Connecticut Library for Accessible Books (CT LAB) to record books, pamphlets and magazines as digital talking books for those who cannot hold or read printed material. Sandy has led many teams of volunteers over the years to record thousands of books and other resources. Her service is emblematic of the Library's commitment to be an accessible and inclusive resource for all members of the community.
The annual Behind the Scenes event honors volunteers who give their time and support to Ridgefield's arts and cultural organizations.
