On Saturday, June 29, The National at Golf Performance Center (GPC) officially opened its doors to the public, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of this premier golf facility. The Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce was present for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating the transformation of what was once a traditional driving range into the quality short course now known as The National Short Course at GPC. As GPC’s facilities and business continue to grow, they are excited to offer The National Short Course, a unique 9-hole course designed to cater to every golfer. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the etiquette of the game and develop fundamental skills, or an avid golfer aiming to refine your short game, The National is your ideal place to play. This course provides a time-friendly alternative to traditional golf rounds, with a 9-hole round taking less than 40 minutes and a full 18 holes completed in under 90 minutes.

The journey to create The National Short Course was not an overnight endeavor. It is deeply rooted in the culture and tradition of a small business owner dedicated to making a positive impact on young people’s lives. Since its establishment in 2010 at 824 Ethan Allen Highway, The Golf Performance Center has been a beacon for aspiring golfers. By 2012, the center had developed into a bustling adult and junior golf academy, aiding golfers of all ages and skill levels in making sustainable progress in their game. For the past 12 years, GPC has focused on transforming how people think about improving their golf skills and remains committed to helping golfers achieve their goals.
