Young Entrepreneurs Shine at Ridgefield's First Children's Business Fair

On Sunday, June 1, the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield hosted the town's inaugural Children's Business Fair, organized by Zeck Law Firm. The event featured 16 young entrepreneurs, aged 8 to 14, from nine local families who had spent two months developing their own businesses.

Participants managed all aspects of their ventures, from product development and marketing to customer service and sales. The fair showcased a variety of creative booths offering handmade crafts, innovative services, and unique products.

Organizer Xin Zeck expressed gratitude for the community's support, stating, "I’m so grateful for the trust of our amazing parents, and I’m truly impressed by the courage and creativity of these young entrepreneurs." She noted that many participants chose to donate a portion of their profits to four nonprofit organizations, highlighting their commitment to giving back.

Building on the fair's success, Zeck Law Firm plans to continue supporting these young individuals through a structured financial literacy program, aiming to teach them how to earn, save, spend, and give with purpose.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to see the event expand. "One of the most repeated comments from the public was that they want to see this event grow with more kids on more dates," Zeck noted.
