The Riverdale Temple’s Artisan and Fair Trade Crafts Fair and Kids’ Arts-and-Crafts Family Fun Day, scheduled for Sunday, December 4, from 11:00 p.m. to 4 p.m., is the perfect local, one-stop shopping opportunity for unique handmade holiday gifts– as well as a fun indoor day of entertainment for families.
Open to the public, the Fair and will be held at the Riverdale Temple, 4545 Independence Avenue, Riverdale, NY 10471.
Admission and parking are free.
The items for sale are one-of-a-kind, and typically found in crafts fairs throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. The carefully selected vendors at the Riverdale Temple crafts fair are all local New York area artisans or fair trade (Third World) crafters. Offerings will include locally made foods, handmade jewelry, clothing, accessories, ceramics, woodworks and more. All the merchandise was carefully screened for high quality and holiday gift-giving appeal.
A crafting event for kids, which includes three different activities and includes instruction and all materials, will also be available for $5 per child. Adding to the fun for young and old will be a raffle. A full array of snacks, baked goods, and beverages will also be available for purchase.
