“Magnificent Light” – Two live concerts of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat and Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna – will be performed on Saturday March 26, 2022 and Sunday March 27, 2022 at Irvington Presbyterian Church, 25 North Broadway, Irvington. The concerts will take place at 3 PM on both days.

Magnificent Light is a production of Hudson Chorale, joined by members of the Westchester Choral Society, under the baton of Artistic Director David Baranowski.

This is the first live performance of the groups in two years, and will feature these exuberant, hope-filled works sung by soloists and choristers, with full orchestra and organist. The Sunday concert will additionally be recorded for streaming on YouTube, fulfilling Hudson Chorale’s promise to maintain community access in the time of COVID.

“This will be a joyful return to live performance for us,” said Artistic Director Baranowski. “Through nearly two years of pandemic, we have nurtured our music community through remote and, recently, live rehearsal. We can’t wait to hear these beautiful works soar in this church.”

Audience members will be required to show evidence of COVID vaccination, and to be masked during performance. Singers and musicians will follow Centers for Disease Control guidance on music performance.

Tickets can be purchased for $25 each from members of the Hudson Chorale or Westchester Choral Society, or through this website link. For further information, please visit www.HudsonChorale.org or email us at info@hudsonchorale.org.
