At this author talk, historian David Frye will discuss his new book, Walls: A History of Civilization in Blood and Brick, in which he analyzes how walls have impacted human history. He comes to the conclusion that walls have not just influenced the course of history; they have profoundly shaped the human psyche. Frye will be selling and signing copies of the book.
David Frye will also be meeting with our History and Biography Book Club an hour early at 2:00 PM to answer questions about Walls.
David Frye received his PhD from Duke University and currently teaches ancient and medieval history at Eastern Connecticut State University. The author of Walls, he has participated in several international archeological digs and has contributed to Military History, MHQ, Archeological Odyssey, and McSweeney’s.
