
MAYOR’S UPDATES
- Exciting Stamford Parks Community Partnership News: Synchrony and the Synchrony Foundation have given a $100,000 grant to the Stamford Parks Community Partnership, which will benefit our city’s parks and greenspaces. Over 50 Synchrony employees and interns joined the City’s Parks and Recreation Department for a beach cleanup at Cove Island Park, Cummings Park, and West Beach.
- Stamford Ranked #32 by Fortune Magazine: The City of Stamford was ranked #32 in Fortune Magazine’s top places to live for families in the U.S., offering the best of both urban and suburban worlds. Over 2,000 municipalities were evaluated across five key themes, including education, wellness, and livability! Read more here.
- Farmers Markets: Last Sunday, I visited the Harbor Point Stamford Farmers Market. From now through the Fall season there are various Farmer’s Markets throughout our City. Check them out:
- Stamford Downtown Farmers Market: Saturday’s from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at Veterans Memorial Park (129 Still Atlantic Street)
- Fairgate Market: Open on Thursdays 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and on Saturdays 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (129 Stillwater Avenue)
- Stamford Museum and Nature Center Farm Market: Sundays from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Knoblock Family Farmhouse Parking Lot (151 Scofieldtown Road)
- Harbor Point Farmers Market: Sundays from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm in Harbor Point Squar (20 Harbor Point Road)

- Arts & Culture Guide: The City of Stamford and the Stamford Arts and Culture Commission are excited to announce, “Stamford Spotlight: A Celebration of Arts and Culture.” This guide highlights upcoming arts and cultural events in Stamford. - Parking Garage Demolition: The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) has initiated the demolition of the Stamford Transportation Center's 1985 Parking Garage and Pedestrian Bridge. For further details, click here.
- Paving Update: Click here for the priority list for paving operations established in response to a city-wide road assessment in 2022.
- Beach Passes Available for Purchase: Beach passes are now available for purchase online or in person. Parking permits are required at Cove Island, Cummings, West Beach, John J. Boccuzzi, Dorothy Heroy & Newman Mills Riverbank Walk Parks from May 1st through September 30th. Click here for more information and to purchase your pass.
- Stamford Transportation Center Master Plan: Our administration has been meeting with the Connecticut Department of Transportation and city transportation officials to continue to make progress on the Stamford Train Station Master Plan.
