Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
Meet Salimie Jean founder of SJ Skin & Body.
Why did you start your business?
To help people feel confident about their appearance by providing effective skin care treatments for their skin concerns and to promote the importance of self-care through skincare.
What is your best-selling product/service?
Anti-aging and acne facials are the top two competing services in my practice so far.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
I have purchased supplies from CosmoProf in Stamford.
My business is fairly new. Our goal is to provide services supporting the seven pillars of Self-Care: Mental, Emotional, Physical, Environmental, Spiritual, Recreational, and Social. Self-Care looks different for every individual AND it's not selfish.
SJ Skin & Body is located at 230 West Main Street #4 in Stamford.
