FroyoWorld Opens in Westport

A new, healthy alternative to ice cream is now available in Westport. Probiotic frozen yogurt bar FroyoWorld opened at 361 Post Rd. W. on Saturday with a soft opening. Owned by Westporter Sharon Brockwell, the franchise will celebrate its grand opening on June 30 with the first 400 customers receiving a free t-shirt with any purchase.

Everything from the flavors to the toppings is self-serve at FroyoWorld, so you choose amounts and proportions then your cup is weighed at the counter to determine the price.

Flavors and toppings rotate, so you can expect something a little different with each visit. And the selection is huge—10 flavors, up to 45 toppings, and at least eight syrups—allowing you to build a different frozen yogurt sundae with each visit all summer long. Besides the usual toppings you would expect to find, they also offer fresh fruit, cereals, cookie dough and cheesecake bites, and a broad assortment of chopped cookies and candy bars.

I’m already planning my next visit!

The hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.
