With so many wonderful restaurants in Westport, it can be easy to miss a few of its quieter gems. But seek them out, and it will be well worth your trouble. Here are a handful of eateries that are great for family and friends.
Taste Blue Lemon (15 Myrtle Ave.)
Known for offering American and eclectic dishes, Blue Lemon’s dishes have feature everything from seafood confit of duck, and each dish has a distinct personality. Don't forget to order an appetizer and dessert as they feature creative and tasty options.
Try a Trattoria
Two great Italian restaurants in town feature authentic entrees. One of them is Finalmente Trattoria (165 Post Rd E Ste 1). The hospitality and ambiance of this smaller venue are very well crafted, and you’ll feel right at home once you walk through the door. A comparable Italian option is Rustico Trattoria (1431 Post Rd E), which is known for its great wait staff and amazing food. Be sure to call in a reservation for a seat because this place gets busy. They offer private dining areas as well, which are perfect for taking your loved one to a fantastic dinner.
For dessert, or anytime, there’s Coffee An' Donut (343 Main St.), serving some of the best donuts in the world. More than one U.S. president has craved their unique flavor (as you will see from the photos covering one wall of the shop). One bite, and you’ll be hooked as well. The service is impeccable, and they really make you feel like you’re part of a community. Remember this place when you feel a craving for something nice, sweet, and doughy.
