Desperately seeking worldwide volunteers to help Brooklyn, New York based artist Ken Solomon create 'One Sky'. The 'One Sky' project is a video installation comprising of over 7,000 (20 second long) videos of the sky from all corners of the globe - all shot at the same time. Filming is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8th at 11am (EDT)

Ken says: “One Sky is a video installation, projected on to a ceiling. It will start at 5:00am in Hawaii. Dark sky, will ease to sunset in Alaska. To California, across the States, to Iceland, Europe, sun will be setting, to the Eastern bloc, back to night sky in Asia and New Zealand / Australia. Ideally the video runs 24 hours, to correspond with the time of the sky above. I'm looking for straight up videos of the the sky, the highest resolution your smart phone will allow. Try to be as still as possible. A steady clear shot - with the only movement from clouds, birds, planes. Please no trees or building tops."

If you have friends across the world then please forward on these details. Ken is currently looking for volunteers from Estonia, Lithuania, Russia, Croatia, Kyrgystan, Latvia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Jordan, Laos, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia and Brunei. The best thing you can do is e-mail him at: 4pmsky@gmail.com leaving your city, state and country and he will get back to you with all info you need.
