will have a preview showing of the new PBS documentary, "Pedro E. Guerrero: “A Photographer’s Journey, on Aug. 30 at 3 pm.  in the Town House building on its main campus, 13 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan, CT.

Guerrero (1917-2012) lived in New Canaan for almost 50 years, during the heyday of his extraordinary international photography career. Born into a pioneer Arizona family of Mexican descent, and raised in a small and segregated town, Guerrero became one of the most sought-after photographers of the “Mad Men" era, using his outsider’s eye to produce insightful studies of important modernist architecture, including many of the modernist houses in New Canaan.

Perhaps best known for his extraordinary portraits of the architect Frank Lloyd Wright and his buildings, he also documented the life and works of  the sculptors Alexander Calder and Louise Nevelson.
