Spread a Little Joy at the Carriage Barn Arts Center: an Arts for Healing Benefit Concert Featuring Sarah Paige Morris

The public is invited to "Spread a Little Joy," an Arts For Healing benefit concert featuring Sarah Paige Morris on Sunday, June 12, starting at 5:30 pm, with reception to follow at the Carriage Barn Arts Center, Waveny Park, New Canaan. Arts for Healing is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing integrated music, art, movement and drama therapy to individuals with emotional, physical, developmental and social needs throughout their lives.

A native of Westport and an intern with Arts For Healing, vocalist Sarah Paige Morris received her BA in Music/Musical Theatre in 2012 from Manhattanville College and has just completed her first year in NYU's Music Therapy Masters program. Morris will play with special guest pianist, Eytan Nisinzweig, a young artist and musician with autism. Nisinzweig has been a piano student at AFH, where he met Sarah last fall. Joining them are pianist Mark Cherry, former Artist in Residence at Manhattanville College, and Jasmine Edwards, an accomplished vocalist from South Florida currently attending NYU's Music Therapy Masters program.

Suggested minimum donation of $20/guest may be made at the door or online with a credit card at http://bit.ly/artsforhealing. The silent auction and additional donations will provide needed scholarship funds for the children, teens, adults and seniors who require support in order to access and benefit from Arts For Healing's integrated arts therapy. About The New Canaan Society for the Arts (NCSA) and the Carriage Barn Arts Center

The mission of the NCSA is to promote the visual and performing arts, to enrich the community through exhibitions, education, and cultural experiences, and to operate the Carriage Barn Arts Center. We offer artists opportunities to exhibit their work in an exceptional gallery space inside a unique nineteenth-century stone barn. Our shows are complemented by gatherings, educational workshops, concerts, and other events in our adaptively reused historical space, located on the grounds of a former estate, now named Waveny Park. During exhibitions our gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday 10-3 pm and Sunday 1-5pm. For more information visit www.carriagebarn.org.
