What do you want the community to know? Are there ways for the community to help you and other local businesses to prosper?

We are a small local shop in Westport, CT specializing in everything for your dining table, décor, and unique and unusual gifts. We also have a bridal registry both in the shop and online. Small business makes up the heart of a community. We pay rent, hire local employees, pay taxes, and are convenient for our customers. We offer a hands-on approach to shopping, have complimentary gift wrapping, local delivery, and unsurpassed customer service. In safer times we sponsor events and always give back to our community.

During these unprecedented times, we offer in-store, online, by phone, or “by window” shopping options as well as by private appointment. We ask that people consider shopping in their neighborhoods – support us as we support you. We live in a world of the Amazon mega “store” that local small businesses cannot possibly compete with. Please consider keeping your purchases local whenever possible. Please keep local small businesses in your town. We need you as much as you need us!

Are there certain individuals or organizations that supported you and your business through this trying time?

Some long-time customers have made sure to come in and purchase items or just to say hello. This means so much to a small business, especially during difficult times.

Please share the ways your business is adapting to keep your customers and employees safe in addition to the standard guidelines

In our small shop, we require masks to be worn and have hand sanitizer readily available. We are constantly wiping down surfaces and leave the door open for fresh air daily. We also use our Lampe Berger daily – which is an air purifier developed by a doctor in France for hospital use in the late 1800s. (These air purifiers are a staple in our store and are readily available). We suggest people shop as soon as possible in case there are more restrictions imposed, or if we have another shutdown. This too shall pass... We will only be here if you want us to be.
