Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Nina Acupuncture!
Three questions with Nina Jatuparisuthiseen, founder of Nina Acupuncture.
Why did you start your business?
I was inspired to start my business because of my own personal experience with acupuncture. Having a solid background as a massage therapist for 11 years, acupuncture has given me a deeper understanding of how the mind and body work.
Five years ago, my personal acupuncturist encouraged me to turn my trust in acupuncture into a passion and inspired me to help change the lives of others. Acupuncture was pivotal in the improvement of my health and therefore changing my life. The results made me believe in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It was an easy transition for me to carry on my success from massage therapist to becoming an acupuncturist, who can deliver effective alternative care to heal people and cure many more diseases.
What is your best-selling product/service?
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Before I advise my patients about good health, and the importance of staying active and cultivating stress-free habits, I make sure to live my own life in a healthy way. I enjoy going to dance classes at Double Up Dance Studio, in Fairfield, and do yoga and meditate at Kaia Yoga, in Westport.
The combination of intensive workouts to strengthen your heart and build muscle tone along with stretching by practicing yoga and calming your mind to find your inner peace is a great way to stay balanced and healthy.
This is what I want to share with all of my patients!
Nina would like to nominate Kaia Yoga in Westport to be featured next!
