The Songs of Leonard Cohen at First Folk Sunday on August 6

Westport, CT – Leonard Cohen and Suzanne Sheridan have had an ongoing musical relationship since 2012 when The Suzanne Sheridan Band first performed and recorded a concert of Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell music at Voices Café.

Suzanne found both the personal and musical connection of these two iconic musical artists and brought them together in a musical tribute. Since then, The Suzanne Sheridan Band has performed Leonard Cohen’s music in many and various musical venues.

And on Sunday, August 6, Suzanne Sheridan on vocals and guitar, Bob Cooper on keyboards, and Joe Meo on all woodwind instruments will be adding First Folk Sunday at the VFW in Westport to their list of Leonard Cohen venues.

First Folk Sunday, is the popular new Sunday mid-day folk series at The Post at the VFW. This folk series, with a $10 music charge, will monthly feature Suzanne Sheridan on vocals and guitar, Bob Cooper on keyboards, and guest artists. They will be covering classic folk music that is both familiar, sometimes new, and always engaging. A brunch offering and a make-it-yourself Bloody Mary bar plus Mimosas are on the menu for an additional charge.
