The Wilton Preschool offers an integrated program for three and four year old students with special learning needs and their typically developing peers. The teachers are highly skilled professionals certified in both special education and early childhood education. In addition to 4 full time teachers, there is an expert staff including speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, a school psychologist, a social worker, and numerous paraprofessionals. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst is also available for consultation. The curriculum is based upon the Connecticut Preschool Frameworks, thus, ensuring all students receive a sound early childhood education.
The Wilton Preschool provides a warm and nurturing environment, where children are celebrated for the individuals they are and educational programs are individually designed so that students can excel. Children thrive in this environment, making huge strides while having lots of fun and creating new friendships.
Parents are welcome to play an active role in the Wilton Preschool community. They are invited into the school to observe their children at work, meet with the preschool director to hear about new developments in the school, and provide feedback. Here is what parents are saying:
