Wilton Y gymnasts score and fly high at home meet

Nearly 200 gymnasts from Wilton, Westport, Darien, Rye, Lakewood-Trumbull, and Farmington Valley gathered at the Wilton Family Y on February 22nd to compete in the last regular qualifier before League Championships. Wilton had an All-Around champion in Level 8, but all the Wilton gymnasts can be rightly proud of their high marks and beautiful routines. Many had season bests, but for the sake of space, only top five finishes or scores of 9.0 or above are included below.

In Level 3, Isabella Jureller finished 3rd place All-Around, with a 3rd place in Vault (9.4), 4th on Bars (9.4), 4th on Floor (9.5) and 5th on Beam (9.3). Evelyn Miano finished 4th place All-Around, with 2nd place honors on Floor (9.75), 5th place on Beam (9.3) and a 9.2 on Bars. Kathryn Walsh was 5th place on Bars (9.35), and scored a 9.1 on Vault and 9.0 on both Beam and Floor. Katherine Franco scored 9.0 on Vault and Beam, 9.05 on Bars, and 9.1 on Floor. Grace Chan placed 4th on Vault (9.3) and scored 9.2 on Floor. Lindsay Jarrett scored 9.1 on Vault and 9.15 on Bars. Olivia Mannino earned 9.0 on Bars and 9.15 on Floor. Sienna Morris' 9.45 Floor routine was good earned her a 5th place spot. Gillian Lipsky scored 9.4 on Floor. Blaze Ricco finished in 3rd place on Floor (9.6). Stefania Mariani earned 9.15 for Bars. Hadley Nussbaum finished 5th on Beam (9.3) and scored 9.25 on Floor. Rachel Calabrese earned 4th place on Vault with a 9.3, and scored 9.1 on Beam. Kaylie Berghaus finished in 5th place on Vault (9.2). Grace Condon finished in 5th place on Beam (9.3). Nicole VanPelt scored 9.1 on Vault and 9.4 on Floor. Emma Beneventano scored 9.1 on Floor.

In Level 4, Peyton Gildersleeve finished 2nd on Bars (9.5) and scored 9.0 on Vault and 9.3 on Floor. Megan McNamara finished 3rd on Vault (9.3), 5th on Floor (9.65) and scored 9.0 on Beam. Nicole Alindogan also finished 3rd on Vault (9.3). Kaylee Howell scored 9.1 on Vault and 9.35 on Floor. Emily Donofrio scored 9.0 on Beam and 9.2 on Floor. Lilly Byrnes was the 1st place finisher on Vault (9.5) and earned 4th place on Floor (9.7) and scored 9.2 on Beam. Emilia Riina was 3rd on Bars (9.45). Eleanor Winrow scored 9.0 on Bars. Nicole Beecher scored 9.0 on Vault and 9.3 on Floor. Jessica Wu scored 9.0 on Beam and 9.1 on Floor. Olivia Newfield scored 9.2 on Floor.

In Level 5, Kate Ginsburg finished 4th place All-Around, with a 1st place on Vault (9.3), and 4th place on both Beam (9.0) and Floor (9.55). Sarah Collias scored 9.0 on Floor. Kayla Heber earned 2nd place on Vault (9.15) and 3rd place on Floor (9.6). Lauren Simone finished 3rd on Bars (9.2). Rachel Esslinger earned 3rd place on Vault (9.1) and scored 9.3 on Floor. Alyssa Jarrett finished 4th on Bars (9.0).

In Level 6, Casey Redcay finished 3rd place All-Around, with a 1st place on Floor (9.85), 2nd place on Beam (9.2) and 4th place on Bars. Carter Siegel finished 5th place All-Around, with a 1st place on Beam (9.3), 3rd place on Vault, and 5th place on Floor (9.2). Marra Woodring finished 4th place on Floor (9.3), 4th place on Beam (9.0), and 5th place on Bars. Catie Jones finished 4th place on Floor (9.3), and 5th place on Beam and Vault.

In Level 7, Sam Huffman finished 3rd place All-Around, with a 2nd place on Bars (9.4), 4th place on Vault (9.0), and 5th place on both Floor (9.4) and Beam. Sam Farhi finished 4th place All-Around, with a 1st place on Bars (9.5) and a score of 9.25 on Floor. Isabelle Meltzer finished 2nd place on Floor (9.7) and 5th place on Vault. Alessandra Uriarte scored 9.35 on Floor. Morgan Leddy finished 3rd on Floor (9.65).

In Level 8, Lizzie Berta was the All-Around Champion, with a 1st place on Bars (9.7), a 2nd place on Floor (9.7), and 4th place on both Vault and Beam. Annie Saltarelli finished 2nd All-Around, with a 3rd place on Beam, a 4th place on Floor (9.5) and 5th place on both Bars (9.0) and Vault. Meghan Graham finished 5th All-Around, with 1st place honors for Beam (9.2) and 5th place finishes on Floor (9.0) and Vault. Emma Rosenblatt won 1st place for Vault (9.5) and 5th place for Beam.
