Wilton Y Special Olympics Bocce Team to Compete this Fall

The Wilton Y's Special Olympics Bocce Team has been hard at working training for the Fall Sports Festival at Savin Rock, West Haven, sponsored by Special Olympics Connecticut.

The Wilton Family Y posted this announcement on their Facebook page:

Special Olympic Bocce has taken off at the Wilton YMCA! On September 12th our athletes will compete at Savin Rock in West Haven Connecticut in the 2015 Fall Sports Festival. Our Coaches, Larry Cafero, Bob Genuario, & Barbara Cafero have been working hard to have our athletes ready to compete.

Special Olympics Connecticut provides training to over 14,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities, according to their "About Us" page. Their philosophy nurtures an environment that is all about "revealing the champion in all of us." Learn more about SOCT here.
