On Thursday September 10th, New Canaan's Gelatissimo will celebrate 10 years of selling delicious, homemade gelato!
Nuccia and Andrea Mazzonetto arrived in New Canaan with one goal - and that was to make daily, fresh gelato and successfully sell it at their store on Forest Street. Well, they have certainly succeeded in smashing that goal - having built up a huge and loyal following. Out of a rotating list of many flavors, up to 22 are available at a given time, with the mint chocolate chip, chocolate, and vanilla chip proving the most popular.
Nuccia, who was born and raised in Italy, learned the art of making gelato from her father-in-law. To celebrate this important milestone and as a thank you, Gelatissimo will be offering free tastings and treats for the children all day tomorrow.
