Great news for Wilton – the state Department of Transportation will upgrade existing traffic control signal equipment or install new equipment at several traffic signals in Wilton, part of a larger effort to make pedestrians safer in the community. Pedestrian facility upgrades will take place at the intersection of Route 7 and Route 33, or Norwalk-Danbury Road, at Cricket Lane, Town Hall, and Old Ridgefield Road; controller upgrades will take place at nine intersections in Wilton. Design work will continue through to April 2025 with work moving forward later that year.
