Why Small Businesses Matter in Wilton: Bella Vi Studio

Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story.
Meet Alisa Korenic, owner of Bella Vi Studio.
Why did you start your business?
I started my hair salon because of my deep passion for people and making them feel their best, both inside and out. It goes beyond just styling hair for me—it’s about building connections, lifting spirits, and empowering individuals through transformation. I love seeing the confidence and joy that a fresh look can bring, knowing that I’m helping someone feel better about themselves. Hair is just the medium, but the real fulfillment comes from the positive impact I have on people’s lives. It’s more than a job. it’s my passion.
What is your best-selling product or service?
My best-selling product is Color Wow- Dream Coat.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business in terms of products and services? Can you name them?
I have been in town for a very long time and every business has been helpful and supportive. Cactus Rose has been wonderful, they have helped me promote since day one.
Have you reimagined your small business?
To reimagine my hair salon, I focus on creating a more personalized and innovative experience for every client. I introduce services like virtual consultations, a seamless online booking system, and perhaps even a subscription model for my loyal customers, so they always feel cared for and valued. Sustainability plays a big role—I use environmentally-friendly products, reduce waste, and ensure ethical practices throughout the salon. My digital presence is more engaging, with interactive content, an e-commerce platform for selling hair care products, and styling workshops for those looking to learn more. I envision my salon as not just a place to get your hair done, but a community hub where we host events, workshops, and collaborate with other local businesses. It is a space where clients feel connected and uplifted. Expanding into wellness treatments and hair care education allows me to offer more diverse experiences, all while staying true to my passion for helping people look and feel their best.
