Bienes Museum of the Modern Book | 30th Anniversary

This special event will pay tribute to the Museum’s legacy and give a glimpse into the future. Join us for an afternoon of conversation, commemoration, and cake as we honor the people and stories that have shaped the Museum. Meet fellow artists, book lovers, and history aficionados. A highlight of the program be a special look at some of the most treasured volumes from the Museum’s collection of more than 15,000 rare and unique books documenting 500 years of literary arts history. Whether you’ve been with us since 1996 or just discovered the Museum, this special event is your invitation to be part of a milestone worth remembering. The museum first opened its doors in 1996 as the Bienes Center for the Literary Arts. The Bienes Museum is dedicated to the celebration of the art of the book, the technology of the book, and the history of the book. All artists, creators, book lovers, and history aficionados are invited. A Service of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
