What HamletHub is
HamletHub is a local events calendar. We gather public event listings from organizations across Southeast Florida, let residents browse them, and let businesses, nonprofits and organizers post their own. This page explains what personal information we collect while you use it, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Events and business pages. When you submit an event or create or claim a business page or calendar, we keep what you enter: the listing itself, your name, your email address, and the organization you say you represent. Listings are public by design.
Accounts. You can sign in with Google or with a sign-in link we email you. Either way we store your name and email address, and Google tells us only that your address is verified. We never see your Google password.
Newsletter. The sign-up box on a business page has two separate consent checkboxes: one for that business's own list, one for HamletHub's weekly calendar. Your address joins only the list whose box you checked. We keep the address, the towns you chose, and the time you confirmed.
Advertiser and sponsor requests. The forms on our advertising and sponsorship pages ask for your name, organization, email, and optionally a phone number and what you hope to accomplish. We keep those answers so we can reply.
The host survey. Answers to our survey for local event hosts are kept with whatever name and contact detail you chose to add. Every field is optional.
Analytics
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and features get used, and Microsoft Clarity for session recordings and heatmaps that show us where a page is confusing. Both companies set their own cookies and process data under their own privacy policies.
We also keep our own first-party counts of page views, clicks and tag taps. Those records store only a salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself, and we use them to rank what is popular and to cap abuse.
Cookies
HamletHub sets a sign-in session cookie when you sign in and a small cookie that remembers the town you picked. The analytics tools named above set their own cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; the site still works, though you will need to sign in and pick your town again.
Payments
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Checkout happens on Stripe's pages, so we never see or store your card number. We keep the plan you bought, the email you used, and the status of the subscription so we can deliver what you paid for.
Our email is sent through Resend. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and one click stops it. Transactional mail such as sign-in links, confirmations and receipts is part of holding an account and cannot be unsubscribed while the account exists.
Images you upload
Images you attach to an event or a page are stored in our object storage and shown on the pages you attach them to. Do not upload an image you do not have the right to publish.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers named on this page, Google, Microsoft, Stripe and Resend, and only so they can do the job described. Event listings and business pages are public and may appear in search engines and on partner sites that embed a HamletHub calendar.
Your choices
Use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter to stop it. To delete your account and the personal data attached to it, or to ask what we hold about you, email sales@hamlethub.com. We answer within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page. A change that affects how we use your data is also announced in the newsletter.
