Founding Day Proclamation Day
Founded by the Junior League of the Palm Beaches, we officially opened our doors on Oct. 21, 1961. To celebrate our official Founding Day, we will have a public ceremony.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., the program will feature a student choir performance, reflections on the Science Center’s past and future, and remarks from West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James, who will present an official city proclamation recognizing the milestone. Our Founders' Day Week is sponsored by Palm Beach County, Tourist Development Council, and the Cultural Council.
