From People with Skills to People with Jobs: Building Employability Partnerships for Individuals with IDD
This interactive presentation examines gaps between developing employment skills and achieving sustained employment for individuals with IDD.
Through discussion and a case-based activity, participants will identify strengths, barriers, and support needs; explore shared responsibilities among families, practitioners, and employment partners; and develop an Employability Partnership Plan with actionable next steps.
This session is free and intended for COE students, faculty, staff, and interested individuals. This event also satisfies the Research Experience Requirement (RER) for EEX 2091 or EEX 4070 and Master’s Community of Learners (CoL) engagement.
