Magical Canine Connections
Join us for a heartwarming and confidence-boosting reading adventure! Children ages 5–12 are invited to read aloud to Gilligan, a certified therapy dog who listens with love and no judgment.
Gilligan wishes he could learn to read but hearing the stories is fun too. This special reading time encourages young readers to build fluency and self-esteem while bonding with a four-legged friend. Gilligan and his handler Pamela are part of Magical Canine Connections: a non-profit group that spreads joy and support through therapy dog visits. From hospitals to libraries, these amazing animals help people feel heard, accepted, and empowered. A Service of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
