Resource Depot Hosts Creative Climate Challenge

Resource Depot, a West Palm Beach nonprofit creative reuse center, will host its Creative Climate Challenge on Thursday, October 8, inviting the community to team up for a fast-paced evening of climate trivia, creative reuse, and hands-on problem solving. The free event is an official Florida Climate Week™ 2026 event, part of a statewide week of virtual sessions and in-person community programs taking place October 5-11 and designed to inspire education, engagement and action around Florida’s climate and resilience challenges. DETAILS: Participants are invited to bring friends or join a team and put their climate knowledge to the test. The evening begins with climate trivia, where teams can earn “carbon credits” or points they will then use during a creative design challenge. Using reclaimed materials from Resource Depot, teams will be challenged to design, build and pitch a creative solution to a real Florida climate challenge. Participants will compete for upcycled trophies, bragging rights and the chance to show how creative thinking and reuse can help tackle environmental challenges. No special expertise is required — just curiosity, creativity and a willingness to collaborate. COST: Free.
