Secrets, Safety & Support: What to Do When a Friend Confides in You
What would you do if a friend shared that they were struggling with self-harm, suicidal thoughts or another serious mental health concern?
This interactive teen workshop helps participants learn how to respond with empathy, recognize when it's time to involve a trusted adult and balance trust with safety. Through guided discussion and real-life scenarios, teens will explore healthy boundaries, ways to support a friend and strategies for caring for their own well-being while helping others. Participants ages 12–18 will receive two volunteer service hours for attending this workshop. For teen volunteer service hours, please register online through CERVIS using the link below: https://cerv.is/0191gYnF8ox
