Teen Advisory Board: South Regional Library
The Teen Advisory Board is a group of teen volunteers who meet regularly with a librarian to offer input on library services and to co-design library programs.
Create programs to meet the needs of youth in our community and align with the library's mission, vision and goals. Join now to help shape what the library does in your community! Monthly meetings start the first Monday in October (October 5th; November 2nd; December 7th; etc.) from 5-6pm. TAB is open to ages 14-18. Teens can earn community service hours for participating; this includes existing volunteers too! TAB volunteer applications can be submitted before the first meeting in October or at the October meeting! Existing teen volunteers do not need to submit a TAB volunteer application. By participating in a Teen Advisory Board, you will: 1. Learn 21st Century Skills, including creativity, collaboration, communication, leadership, and social skills 2. Understand the library’s mission and values and how the library works with the community 3. Become invested in your community to create positive change 4. Teen Advisory Board members practice group decision making while organizing and planning events See you there!
