The Wizard of Oz
THE ANDREW HENLEY SULLIVAN FAMILY FILM SERIES
MADE POSSIBLE BY THE COLLIS FOUNDATION This iconic 1939 film won three Academy Awards® including a special Juvenile Award for Judy Garland. The Wizard of Oz follows a Kansas farm girl swept by a tornado into the magical land of Oz, where she meets new friends on her quest to return home. Renowned for its groundbreaking use of Technicolor, memorable storytelling, and unforgettable soundtrack including “Over The Rainbow”, it has become a timeless cornerstone of pop culture. The Andrew Henley Sullivan Family Film Series: Once a month, GLAZER HALL will present a film that will empower and inspire young audiences by telling stories that resonate with them. Each month, we will present two screenings of the featured film: a 10:00 AM sensory-friendly screening and a 12:30 PM traditional screening. A sensory-friendly film screening is designed to be more comfortable for individuals with sensory sensitivities or autism, by reducing the audio and dimming lights, rather than turning them off completely.
