Police Blotter 4/15-4/23: Disorderly Conduct, Bicyclist Road Rage, Threatening TXT Messages Among Events This Week

Police Log for the week of April 15th:
On April 16th, Redding Police were called to assist the Weston PD with a serious crash on rt 57.
On April 16th at 5:20 PM, Officer McManus took a call from a family lost in Huntington State Park, and guided them out of the park via the telephone. The family ended up in Bethel, at which point the Bethel PD took over.
On April 18th at 11:16 AM there was a voluntary firearm surrender of a shotgun and ammunition.
On April 18th at 4:02 PM, Officer O'Conner addressed a miscellaneous incident regarding threatening txt messages. The issue is currently under investigation.
On April 19th at 3:37 PM, officer DeLuca attended a call regarding a road rage incident between two bicyclists on Hopewell Woods Road. One of the two parties left the scene and could not be located. No charges were filed.
On April 19th at 6:11 PM, Officer DeLuca responded to a motor vehicle injury call. A vehicle exiting a driveway on Diamond Hill Rd struck a biker travelling eastbound. The biker was transported to Danbury Hospital with non life threatening injuries. Operator of vehicle Gene Nazzaro of Redding was issued a written warning for failure to provide right of way to biker William Bosch.
On the 19th and 22nd, Redding Police assisted Wilton PD with two separate serious crashes on Route 7.
On April 20th at 4:13 PM, Officer Livingston responded to a disorderly conduct call about an altercation between a 14 year old female and a 44 year old female on Route 53. A domestic arrest was made.
On April 21st at 11:49 AM, Officer DeLuca assisted with a tenant landlord dispute concerning an eviction. He was called in to keep the peace, the peace was kept, and he departed. No charges were filed.
On April 22nd at 1:19 PM, Officer Salafia was called in for a medical assist on Pine Mountain Road for a 52 year old male with a nail in his head after a construction accident with a nail gun. The injured party was transported to Danbury Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
