Live Music and Margaritas with Yippee Coyote to Benefit Redding's Odyssey of The Mind Teams

Students from Redding Elementary School are heading to Ames, Iowa to compete in Odyssey of the Mind, and Lumberyard Pub of Georgetown is committed to help send them there. Every Wednesday until the trip on May 28th is "Odyssey Wednesday" at The Lumberyard, and they're donating $2 from every $5 Frozen Margarita to help Redding kids get to the world championship.
Wednesday, May 21st is a special evening, as local band "Yippee Coyote" will be performing live!
According to Coach Kimberly Ajavananda, Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem solving competition where students of all ages prepare a long term problem solution as well as compete in an on-the-spot hands on or verbal "spontaneous" problem.
The third and fourth grade team who competed in the Division I "Not so Haunted House" problem received a second place medal on Saturday, March 29th in Bristol, Connecticut.
The all fourth grade team received a third place finish in the structural design problem "Stackable Structures."
Both teams received an invitation to represent Connecticut at the 35th Odyssey of the Mind Work Finals on May 28th in Ames, Iowa.
