Wooster School's Catwalk for a Cure Event Raises over $7,400

The Wooster School Think Pink Club raised over $7,400 for The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center during their 3rd annual Catwalk for a Cure. Catwalk For A Cure is an organized fashion show that Wooster School, in Danbury CT, exhibits annually. All of the proceeds raised through this and other related fundraisers are donated to The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center, which aids women and men suffering from different stages of Breast Cancer.

The Catwalk event first came to our Wooster Community through the hard work, initiative, and efforts from class of 2015 graduates Hallie Fuchs and Alexandra Ambrosio. This year, Wooster students Michael Ambrosio and Marie Klepacz took the lead and coordinated the event. This special event brings together students from grades 4 through 12 to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer research and programs. Student model fashions were donated by stores such as Alice & Olivia, Splash of Pink, Charlotte Russe, Southmoon Under, and Darien Sports Shop.

In addition to donations of clothing, local businesses donated services and raffle items, such as gift baskets and certificates.

Thanks to the assistance of the Wooster faculty and support from our community, the show this year was a great success! Wooster is one of several schools around the country who host this style event and we look forward to participating again next year!
