Eversource advisory: helicopter inspections
Ridgefield Police are advising residents that Eversource will be conducting LiDAR scans across transmission lines in Connecticut now through December 23 (including Saturday and Sunday) weather permitting.
This includes helicopter flights over the transmission lines at 1400’. LiDAR is an aerial high-tech survey of the transmission system. It allows for Eversource’s Engineers to optimize the analysis, design, and configuration of the transmission lines using up-to-date electronic data.
The aircraft is a Blue and Yellow Bell 206B3 with tail number --- #N803JB and flight times are between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
