Southbury Ambulance Association (SAA) is a non-profit, volunteer organization that serves the community of Southbury.  We pride ourselves in having up-to-date training and facility for our staff.  Founded in 1953, SAA has been a leader in community Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Our staff ranges from teens to senior citizens, all working together in our community to give back “neighbors helping neighbors”. Not only has Southbury Ambulance Association been a leader in setting standards for EMS in our community, we have partnered with Region 15 High School and offered numerous EMT classes to students.  In addition, we offer a variety of CPR, First Responder, First Aid, public information and education and emergency preparedness classes to people throughout the community. SAA has contributed toward the Town of Southbury earning and maintaining a HEARTSafe Community designation. In May of 2010 Southbury Ambulance Association, Inc. was awarded the EMS Governor’s Organizational Achievement Award.  We are proud of our volunteers and staff who made this award possible.
