Common Threads: A South Florida Wind Band Showcase
Under the direction of Kyle Prescott, DMA, and Evan Rogovin, the Florida Atlantic University Wind Ensemble and the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Wind Ensemble present a program showcasing the power, color, and expressive range of the modern wind band. The concert’s centerpiece is Percy Grainger’s beloved masterpiece, Lincolnshire Posy – a landmark work inspired by English folk songs and widely regarded as one of the greatest compositions in the wind band repertoire.
