Under the direction of Laura Joella, DMA, the FAU Symphony Orchestra presents a program featuring rich musical storytelling.
The repertoire includes the cinematic grandeur of John Williams’ Overture to The Cowboys and the exuberant spirit of Copland’s Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo as well as the brilliance of Bernstein’s Slava!, the lush and evocative symphonic poem Africa by William Grant Still, and the powerfully moving orchestral settings of Adolphus Hailstork’s Three Spirituals.
