Maria Callas: La Divina
Experience the captivating legacy of Maria Callas, the Greek-American soprano who didn't just sing opera; she redefined it.
Known to her legions of fans as "La Divina," Callas's impact was so seismic that historians often split operatic history into two eras: B.C. ("Before Callas") and A.C. ("After Callas"). Join us as we explore the life of an artist whose fierce dedication brought a raw, cinematic passion to the stage, reviving the forgotten masterpieces of the Bel Canto repertoire. Beyond the footlights, her life was as dramatic as any libretto, marked by a whirlwind romance with Aristotle Onassis and a legendary clash with the Metropolitan Opera. From her vocal brilliance to her tragic, untimely end, discover why Maria Callas remains the ultimate diva of the 20th century. This event is also available virtually.
